Thanks to Adriana Palmer and the NYC Audubon for allowing us to tag along their Eco Cruises this year. On Sunday, Dr. Biolsi and I went out on our first boat trip for the season, and observed 5 seals. It was quite possibly the coldest day we’ve ever been on the water, but worth it.
For those who wish to participate on the Eco Cruises, please follow the link here. The cruises are undoubtedly an awesome trip, and an excellent way to get an individualized tour of the NYC waterways, and to be informed about our local fauna. Moreover, you might get to see a member of our research team braving the cold.
We also have some great PR. NYC Audubon invited us to submit a piece to their web-blog, Syrinx. You can read our article, and a brief description of our seal research here.
